Forgiven in Christ

No matter what you have done, where you have been or how long you have run — in Christ, everyone can be forgiven. The door is open. It was paid for.

The story

From chains to freedom

Every person carries something: guilt, shame, a thing we wish we could undo. The Bible is honest about it — and even more honest about the answer.

1

We all fall short

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23). Nobody is too good to need forgiveness — and nobody is too far gone to receive it.

2

Jesus paid it all

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8). The debt was not ignored; it was paid by the Lamb of God.

3

Ask, and it is yours

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9).

4

A fresh start

“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 8:1). Not a second-hand life — a new one.

The parable

The father who ran

A father runs down the road to embrace his returning son

A young man took his inheritance, left home and wasted everything. Hungry and ashamed, he rehearsed an apology and started the long walk back, expecting to be a servant.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.” (Luke 15:20)

The son never finished his speech. A robe, a ring, sandals and a feast — that is how heaven answers a returning child.

How far does it reach?

Forgiveness that covers everything

∞

Everyone

“Whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16). “Whoever” means you.

East→West

As far as the east is from the west

“So far has he removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)

❄

White as snow

“Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” (Isaiah 1:18)

🌊

Into the deepest sea

“You will tread our sins underfoot and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.” (Micah 7:19)

Receive it, give it

Forgiven people forgive

01

Come as you are

You do not clean yourself up first. Come honestly, name it, and ask. Grace meets you there.

02

Forgive others

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:32). Freed hearts free others.

03

Forgive yourself

If God has cleared the record, you can stop holding the pen. Shame is not the voice of Christ.

A simple prayer

Ready to be forgiven?

“Jesus, I am sorry for my sin. I believe You died for me and rose again. Please forgive me, wash me clean and be Lord of my life. Thank You for loving me. Amen.”

If you prayed that sincerely, you are forgiven. Find a church, read the Gospel of John and tell someone.
