Out of the Dead Economy,
into the Living One
Follow Daniel as he leaves the system that is killing him and comes home to the Lamb of God.
One who was slain and now reigns. He died on the cross for every sinner — and every one of us, from the poorest to the most powerful, is invited to come home.
Begin the journeyMeet HimJohn the Baptist saw Jesus coming and cried, “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” In the last book of the Bible, that same Jesus is revealed in glory.
Gentle, spotless and sacrificed. Jesus gave His life on the cross, bearing the penalty for our sin so that we would not have to. He was not taken by force; He laid His life down willingly.
The conqueror of death and the rightful King. He rose on the third day, and He will return as Judge and Lord over every ruler, nation and power on earth.
“Then one of the elders said to me, ‘Do not weep! See, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed.’ Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing at the center of the throne.”
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
No one is too far gone, too guilty or too important. The cross levels the ground: every one of us needs mercy, and every one of us is offered it.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Presidents and paupers stand in the same need.
Romans 3:23
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” You cannot earn it — only receive it.
Romans 6:23
“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9
We are not told to curse those in authority, nor to hate those who have been misled. We are commanded to pray — for presidents, kings, executives, and for every person led astray by false promises.
“I urge that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people — for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.”
1 Timothy 2:1–4
“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
Ezekiel 22:30
The misled and the misguided are not our enemies; they are the very people the Lamb died for. Pray for them by name. Stand in the gap until they come home. Pray for the architects of the 4th industrial revolution for they truly don't know the master they serve.
Every age has its kings and councils who plan to be free of God’s law and to remake the world in their own image. The psalm tells us how that ends.
“Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and against his anointed, saying, ‘Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles.’ The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them.”
God does not laugh because He is cruel, but because no scheme, system or empire can stand against Him. The laughter is a warning — and the psalm does not end there.
“Therefore, you kings, be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve the Lord with fear and celebrate his rule with trembling. Kiss his son… Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” Psalm 2:10–12
The call to every leader is the same: lay down the wisdom of man, and lead through the wisdom of God. Serve the people under your care as a servant of the King — or face Him in the next life as your Judge.
One of the greatest leaders this world has ever seen. He stood in the gap, boldly spoke the name of Jesus, and called a generation back to faith. He is now sitting with the Lamb of God interceding on behalf of those who killed him, asking God to forgive them. For if they knew what they have done - they would never have done it.
